— By JenniferComments Off on Hewitt clarifies engagement rumors
February 2, 2010 News

Jennifer Love Hewitt is adamant she hasn’t given her boyfriend Jamie Kennedy a deadline for a proposal insisting the couple won’t “rush” into marriage any time soon.

The actress sparked rumors of an imminent wedding last year after she mentioned in an interview that she wanted to be engaged by summer 2010. She said, “By this time next year, if we’re not planning something, then there’s a situation.”

Her former Ghost Whisperer co-star was subsequently rumored to have popped the question to Hewitt onstage during a comedy show, but the couple denied the reports. Hewitt insists she hasn’t given her partner an ultimatum, and doesn’t expect a proposal until they are both ready to wed.

She says, “The engagement thing was blown out of all proportion. When I made that comment about there being a ‘situation’, I wasn’t really giving him a time clock. If it’s going to happen it will happen, but right now we are not rushing anything. We are both just really happy.”

February 2, 2010 News

Though Valentine’s Day is still more than two weeks away, Jamie Kennedy isn’t waiting to be loving.

“He’s done a bunch of romantic things just because that’s who he is,” says girlfriend Jennifer Love Hewitt. “It’s hard to pick just one.”

Kennedy does have something special up his sleeve for Feb. 14, which he plans to celebrate with Hewitt in Massachusetts. Without getting specific, Kennedy, 39, said there would be “a little chocolate, a little roses” involved. “I’m going to do very good this Valentine’s Day,” the actor-comedian told PEOPLE Thursday while hosting the Tao-A-Go-Go dance contest at Tao Las Vegas. “You will hear about it.”

He will have his work cut out for him, though. Hewitt, 30, clearly knows the definition of her middle name. “She’s the most romantic person you will ever meet,” Kennedy said of his girlfriend of nearly a year.

While all the other late-night talk show hosts last night were yakking about NBC, Jennifer Love Hewitt was on with George Lopez talking about something entirely different – her private parts. Or as she called put it – her “precious lady.”

In her upcoming book, The Day I Shot Cupid, she mentions that she has a chapter on “Vagazzaling.” She explains: “After a breakup a friend of mine Swarovski Crystaled my ‘precious lady’ and it shined like a disco ball and so I have a whole chapter in there about how women should ‘vagazzle’ their va-jay-jays.”

And was hers vagazzled as they spoke? Yes, she told Lopez. “It’s hot pink for today for you. I am currently vagazzled.”

Hit Read more to watch the video and to see what nickname boyfriend Jamie Kennedy called Love that really ticked her off. He was walking down the hall one day, she says. “And he goes, ‘Hey, my little pear ass.’ “I said, ‘I’m sorry, what did you say?'”

Hewitt, 30, then explained to Lopez that the remark wasn’t a compliment. “Have you ever seen a pear?” she asked. “It starts thin, it gets fat, and it never gets thin again. It’s not cute. It’s not a cute fruit.” She said they’ve since “worked it out” and now “we’ ‘ve embraced the pear.”
