Jennifer Love Hewitt plays a homecoming queen who turns to prostitution to support her family in the new Lifetime series The Client List.
“Given where we are economically, it’s an interesting story,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s really a movie about the human condition, and the heart, and where life can take you.” Jennifer said she took pole dancing classes to prepare for the role “because it really, really gets you in shape [and] it also really teaches you about your inner sexuality.”
Her mom is proud. “My mom’s like, ‘I’m so proud. You’re pole dancing and you’re going to play a prostitute. Awesome!’ It’s like, ‘Yeah, what you always dreamed about, mama!’ But you know, it’s a great part,” she said.

Ghost Whisperer fans shouldn’t say goodbye to the paranormal just yet. Although the show was canceled after five seasons, executive producer Kim Moses tells TVGuide.com that she and her team are moving forward on a new show called Ghostworld with ABC.
Set to shoot this summer, Ghostworld is about a ghost who helps a young homicide detective solve crimes. In doing so, he hopes to discover clues to his own life and death. The script was originally written by Daniel Taplitz and What About Brian creator Dana Stevens is also now on board.
Although ABC passed on picking up the series after what Moses calls a “very last minute” cancellation by CBS, Moses is staying positive. “We always want to keep telling stories because that’s what we are in our heart and our soul,” she says. “ABC and CBS have been incredibly supportive … and it’s important we do additional things.”

Ghost Whisperer, the Jennifer Love Hewitt supernatural drama that was surprisingly axed by CBS last week, will not cross over to ABC.
“After five wonderful seasons and over 100 episodes, we are disappointed to announce Ghost Whisperer will not be returning for a sixth season,” executive producers Kim Moses and Ian Sander said in a statement Thursday.
ABC, whose studio sibling co-produced Ghost Whisperer with CBS, had expressed an interest in Ghost Whisperer which consistently won its Friday-night time period. Hewitt starred as a medium who can communicate with earthbound spirits and helps them “cross over” to the other side after their unfinished business is resolved.

Jennifer Love Hewitt visited “The View” Wednesday where she talked about an ex who cheated on her for a year and a half. She didn’t identify the cheater but said she found out when she checked his email. “I’m really happy I did it, and I would do it again,” she said. “I was really curious, I knew in my gut that something was going on. I checked, and I found that out of the almost two-year relationship, for a year and a half, he had been having relationships not just with one woman, but a few.”
Jennifer said she went online because she already suspected him of cheating. “He was caring more about his appearance, [he started] to work out more… where is that coming from?” Jennifer has dated Carson Daly, John Mayer, and professional kayaker Brad Ludden. She was engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall from 2007 to 2009 and recently broke up with Jamie Kennedy after one year together (so judging by the length of the relationship he is probably not the cheater.)
Last week, Jennifer was photographed at the New York City premiere of the movie “Sex and the City 2”. I have just added 167 HQ photos of her at the premiere and after-party!
Melinda’s (Jennifer Love Hewitt) investigation of a poltergeist in the hospital leads to a showdown with supernatural forces terrorizing her and her son on tonight’s “Ghost Whisperer.”
“We have lots of strange children marching around in scary masks, which is so creepy,” Jennifer tells ET. “It’s like, ‘Why do we always have to make children creepy?’ I’m constantly asking the producers. I’m like, ‘Can’t we just have a child who’s not creepy, because it freaks me out. It gives me nightmares and I don’t like it.'”
There actually is a non-creepy kid on “Ghost Whisperer,” and that is her son Aiden (Connor Gibbs). “We find out that he has to come to Melinda’s aid and really saves her life in the season finale,” Jennifer says. “The dark side gets extremely powerful very quickly and he’s sort of her only heroic key. So my son gets to kind of be a superhero for the episode, which is very cool.”
The “Ghost Whisperer” season finale — possibly the series finale — airs tonight at 8 p.m. on CBS.
JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT’s spooky TV series GHOST WHISPERER has been brought back from the dead – TV executives at ABC have given the show a lifeline. The long-running drama was axed last week as part of a sweep by executives at CBS.
But Hewitt’s co-star and ex-boyfriend Jamie Kennedy has revealed there is still “life” in the program after ABC chiefs expressed interest in picking up Ghost Whisperer for its future schedule. He says, “They are talking about it, so that’s cool. We haven’t exactly gone into the light, we haven’t crossed over, but we’ve got some life.”
Ghost Whisperer premiered in 2005.
