The Client List 2×05 “Hell on Heels” – When Riley (Jennifer Love Hewitt) discovers that Linette (Cybil Shepherd) wants Katie (Cassidy Guetersloh) to enter the Beaumont Belles Mother/ Daughter pageant, Riley struggles with her decision and turns to Kyle (Brian Hallisay) for advice. At The Rub of Sugarland, a co-ed locker room creates awkward encounters between Selena (Alicia Lagano) and Derek (Rob Mayes), meanwhile Riley has an awkward encounter of her own when an 18-year-old virgin, J.D. Junior (Justin Gaston), is on her table. When Travis (Tyler Champagne) begins acting up at school, Evan (Colin Egglesfield) offers to take Travis to visit Kyle in jail. Riley and Evan continue to face the challenges of their relationship now that Kyle is back in their lives. Lacey (Rebecca Field) and Dale (Greg Grunberg) visit a fertility specialist.

The Client List 2×04 “My Main Trial Is Yet To Come” – Selena (Alicia Lagano) doesn’t trust Riley’s (Jennifer Love Hewitt) new hire, Nikki (Laura Leigh), and Riley tries to keep the peace and some stability in the wake of all the new changes. We get a glimpse into Nikki’s life before The Rub of Sugarland when Riley meets her ex-boss, Greg Carlye (Johnathon Schaech), who runs a strip club. Meanwhile Riley discovers that Derek (Rob Mayes) has been keeping a secret of his own that jeopardizes the Rub of Sugarland. Riley wisely decides that Derek’s secret can be used as a valuable business opportunity. Riley must decide whether she wants Katie (Cassidy Guetersloh) and Travis (Tyler Champagne) visiting Kyle (Brian Hallisay) in jail. Riley and Evan (Colin Egglesfield) struggle to find time with each other. Riley receives an unusual request from one of her clients, a pro football player (Trevor Donovan) who likes to test his boundaries.

The Client List 2×03 “Cowboy Up” – Linette (Cybill Shepherd) has a car accident and temporarily moves in with Riley (Jennifer Love Hewitt) while she recovers. Evan (Colin Egglesfield) secretly takes on a dangerous job so he can help Riley with some of the financial burden she is managing. When Riley and Lacey (Rebecca Field) uncover the truth about his recent injuries, Evan winds up revealing an even bigger decision about a career change. Kyle’s (Brian Hallisay) mistakes continue to burden Riley and Evan as they try to move forward with their relationship. Riley Parks’ life is about to get even more complicated.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, who plays the single mother employed at a spa that offers more than just massages, says that season two of her Lifetime drama, The Client List, finds Riley in several romantic, familial and business entanglements.

For starters, she becomes involved in a “saucy love triangle” with her recently returned husband Kyle (Brian Hallisay and brother-in-law Evan (Colin Egglesfield).

“We also find out where her husband was, why he left, if he was doing something good for the family,” Hewitt — who also is an executive producer on the show — tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Even though we thought he was doing something selfish and bad, maybe we’re going to rehabilitate him in the minds of the people watching and make him not such a bad guy — or is he? We’re going to play around with that.”

Not to mention, how does his return affect her feelings for Evan?

“Obviously, they started having something romantic, and now that the brother is back and she’s still technically married to him, what does that do for them?” she says.

And Riley isn’t the only one finding romance.

“I have a new love interest (played by Michael Beach),” Loretta Devine tells THR of her character, spa owner Georgia Cummings. She adds: “There are a lot of new twists and turns that are going to be happening this season. People who tuned in to the first season are going to absolutely love it.”

Meanwhile, there’s a new hire at The Rub of Sugar Land — and it’s not another female.

“We bring in a man this year for happy endings for women,” Hewitt says. “It’s not just about guys getting theirs.”

Trust also becomes an overwhelming issue for Riley, as many people in her life seem to be harboring secrets. Riley also takes a larger role at the spa, which comes with more power, responsibility and burden. Meanwhile, the drama with Riley’s kids will continue, as will her financial woes.

“Every time she starts to get ahead, something happens so that she falls back behind again in debt,” Hewitt says.

The actress says that’s part of what she likes about the character — that she isn’t perfect.

“I like her humanity, I like her faults, I love the mistakes that she makes,” Hewitt says. “I love her feistiness, I love her gumption, and I love her unfailing belief in the fact that somehow this is all going to be OK.”

For viewers wanting to get caught up on the first season, Lifetime is airing a mini-marathon Sunday leading up to the second-season premiere at 10 p.m. In addition, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the first-season DVD on Feb. 26. (Watch an eight-minute recap of season one below.)

Throughout the first season, Devine got a lot of positive reactions from the fans, including many comments and questions about her wardrobe. But she also says that Georgia is a strong role model.

“I like that she’s a businesswoman and very powerful,” she says. “I’m inspired by any woman who is able to run something, who has employees and is affecting the lives of so many people.”
